Edit messaging providers and templates
As you work with messaging providers and their templates, you may need to edit existing providers or templates:
Editing providers
Edit a provider. On this page, you can edit provider information.
Steps
- On the Admin & Rights 2.0 dashboard, under Platform Configurations, click Messaging Providers.
- In the Messaging Providers table, locate the provider you want to modify.
- Then hover the cursor over its associated ellipses link at the right side of the table and click the Edit option. Doing so opens a confirmation dialog and allows you to access the Update Provider Instance modal.
- In the modal, you can modify the provider's characteristics as required.
- Click Save.
Editing templates
Edit a template. On this page, you can edit templates and their attributes.
Steps
- On the Admin & Rights 2.0 dashboard, under Platform Configurations, click Messaging Providers.
- In the Messaging Providers table, locate the provider with the template you want to modify.
- Then click on the corresponding hyperlink in the Templates column of the table to open the Messaging Templates table for the provider that requires a template. Note that the hyperlink displays the current number of templates defined for the related provider.
- In the Messaging Templates table, locate the template you want to edit.
- Then hover the cursor over its associated ellipses link at the right side of the table and click the Edit option. Doing so opens a confirmation dialog and allows you to access the Edit Template modal.
- You can modify the template's name, its attributes, or the formatting of its JSON payload.
- You can also remove attributes by clicking Select to return to the Selected Items column of the Select Attributes window and then clicking the attribute's close (x) icon. Be sure to click Save when you are done.
Note: by hovering your cursor over the information (i) icon next to the attribute, you can its associated category. - Once you are done with all of the edits, click Update Template.
